I like to have a simple icon to use the new <ice:dataExporter>. At the moment I can have two text links whereas the first is clicked to create the export and the second that is rendered then to start the download. It is possible to use an image inside the tag. But, this is rendered for the second "to download" link. I can't find an attribute combination that allows me to get rid of the first link.

Is it possible to click on a simple icon and get the excel download immeditately?

Besides the component showcase example I can't find any useful information about this. Very annoying guys for such an important feature.

Thanks for identifying key features. However its not possible with the current implementation. We have created the following JIRAs for this improvement.

Sounds like a job for our old friend javascript and innerHTML. Yes not the best solution but you certainly could do something.

Hi Rainer,

Both Jira's have been resolved and will be included in ICEfaces 1.8.1.

Thanks,

I'm using the image attribute, but ICE Faces adds a blue border around my gif image. What can I do to elimanate the border?

<style>
.iceDatExp img {
border:none;
}
</style>

Thanks,
