Hi guys,

i am developing portlets with icefaces on a liferay Portal Server, now i wanted to use the <ice:tree from icefaces but if i display this tree on my screen i get only a unformatted list of it and the liferay log tells me the following messages:

22:24:22,562 WARN [PortalImpl:2860] Current URL /group/7cogs/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_nav_top_close_no_siblings.gif generates exception: null
22:24:22,562 WARN [PortalImpl:2860] Current URL /group/7cogs/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_line_blank.gif generates exception: null
22:24:22,578 WARN [PortalImpl:2860] Current URL /group/7cogs/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_nav_middle_close.gif generates exception: null
22:24:22,609 WARN [PortalImpl:2860] Current URL /group/7cogs/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_line_vertical.gif generates exception: null
22:24:22,625 WARN [PortalImpl:2860] Current URL /group/7cogs/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_line_middle_node.gif generates exception: null
22:24:22,625 WARN [PortalImpl:2860] Current URL /group/7cogs/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_line_last_node.gif generates exception: null
22:24:23,015 WARN [PortalImpl:2860] Current URL /group/7cogs/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_nav_bottom_close.gif generates exception: null

So he tries to get these pictures by rendering the ice:tree ähmm should i install a theme or where should i store the pictures or in which way should i declare the correct path of them in the jspx file or what should i do? that this tree is displayed in the correct way...

my tree.jspx is attached and also the faces-config.xml

I think the problem is related to you specifying the imageDir="./xmlhttp/xxxxxxxx" in the ice:tree. Just omit it and the right images will be automatically loaded from the current theme.

Just add to the dir name of the images the name of the directory of your portlet and the images will be found.

If the name of your portlet is Hallo the path to your images will be

/Hallo/xmlhttp/css/xp/css-images/tree_nav_top_close_no_siblings.gif

Hi,

I had the same problem when rendering the tree component in a portlet and by referencing the absolute path of the images directory as suggested in the last post worked for me. Now it renders the correct images.

Thanks.
