In case you are deploying to a servlet-2.5 application server, please see the following:

icemobile has been developed for servlet-3.0 application servers (like tomcat7). to use on older application servers (like tomcat6 which implements servlet-2.5 api), that is only supported in EE version as requires extra configuration.

Here is the location of the wiki for all things icemobile:-

Did you check out any of the tutorials listed at
http://www.icesoft.org/wiki/display/icemobile/JSF+Quick+Start+Tutorial
are you using the Eclipse plugin for icemobile which will give you a skeleton project to start work with? There are also sample apps within the distribution bundle. Perhaps you could start with those?
Note that the docs also say that icemobile (open source) requires html5-compliant browsers.
If you still have an issue, then you should post your code (keeping it simple is best when posting code here).

Make sure you have <multipart-config/> on the Faces Servlet.

yes, i have <multipart-config/> in my web.xml.

Relative tutorial, the only difference is that i use the Oracle 2.1.3 JSF implementation ; it may be the problem ?

out of curiousity, what exactly is the js error? Can you copy and paste it in here? Also, did you try another desktop browser (html5-compliant) eg: Chrome? Assuming you are trying this on desktop browsers, or are you using a specific device?

Note that each icefaces and icemobile distribution bundle has release notes which state which versions of jsf are supported. It's safest just to use the one bundled with the icemobile/lib folder if you are unsure.
