Hi ,

I was previously using icepdf 4.2.2_3. And now I am using icepdf-pro-6.1.3. For some of the pdfs fonts are being overlapped for me in the new version. It was working fine in the older version. Image for the same is attached here.

This behavior is generally related to a font substitution issue. Are you using the OS or PRO version of ICEpdf?

Is is possible to post a sample file?

If not could you post a screen capture of the Document Font Properties dialog (viewer ri -> File -> Document Fonts.. ). There is also a "Reset Cache" button which will re-read the system's fonts.

Which OS are you testing with? Do you have the Ghost Script fonts installed? http://www.icesoft.org/wiki/display/PDF/Optimized+Font+Substitution

Hi Patrick,

I am attaching document font properties of the pdf that I am using. Actually we are converting pdf to image and using that in our custom viewer in our application.

We are developing on windows platform and in production we are using Linux. We don't have ghost scripts installed.

I'd strongly recommend you install the ghostscript fonts and reset your ~/.icesoft/icepdf-viewer/pdfviewerfontcache.properties or you can do it through the Viewer ri as mentioned above.

Linux systems generally have these fonts installed and have them installed on Windows will give you mores consistent results between the two systems.

Hi patrick,

As per your suggestion and provided link I have downloaded ghost scripts font but I was unable to install them on my windows 7. It threw the error of invalid fonts but I continued the process despite of that as mentioned in the icepdf documentation but I found out that none of the fonts were installed.

I am using 64 bit windows 7. Can you guide me through this?

Also, what can I do to call icepdf's support center if I want live assistance? I have tried few numbers of sales query and main number of canada's line but I was not able to connect.

We've updated the font installation notes at http://www.icesoft.org/wiki/display/PDF/Optimized+Font+Substitution . If you haven't already tried, give the 6.0 AFPL fonts a try.
