When I open ICEpdf 6.2.1 from within a Java program, the utility pane is not automatically displayed. It has to be opened manually by clicking on the control button.
When I open ICEpdf 6.1.2 using the same program and pdf input file, the utility pane is automatically displayed.
Is this a deliberate change in behaviour between 6.1.2 and 6.2.1?
Is there any way, within my Java calling program, to control the display of the utility pane?

The change was deliberate in 6.2. When we implemented the file attachment utility tab we realized we were not correctly respecting a variable in documents catalog that is used to specify which utility pane should be be shown. If no utility pane is specified then the spec states it should be hidden.

Most documents that have outlines have this flag set correct but there are a few that aren't setup this way. Just after you open the document a call to controller.setUtilityPaneVisible(true); should make the utility pane visible.

Many thanks for your quick response. I have just tried your suggestion: controller.setUtilityPaneVisible(true); and it works.
