Hello forum users,

i would like to add a MenuBar inside a (Sortable) Column Header. The top menu item has only an icon which symbolize a filter possibility. The only problem i have is the view. It looks not really good. I tried a little bit around with the css properties but I got no satisfying result. If I set the padding of the column to 0px the whole header displaced. I also can't set the backround-color of the MenuBar and MenuItem to any color... and many many other thinks.

Maybe someone have had the same issue or has got some tipps.

If you install Firebug in Firefox, then you can Inspect the rendered menuItem DIVs, and directly modify the CSS for any of the relevant style classes. You can then reimplement those changes into your own custom style classes, which the menuItem's styleClass attribute can refer to.

The Firebug addon is really good. I used until now only the webdeveloper addon. It goes quiet better with the Firebug addon to design it. Also it helped a lot to understand the system of how icefaces handles with css;-)

I breaked my work at this issue as I noticed that putting a checkbox or a an input field in a menuItem is also a problem.

I'm not sure if I should start another thread for this issue relating to other users with the same question.
