  • The ICEmobile container does not currently support https, although the fix is straightforward. The Android WebViewClient includes a member function onReceiveSslError() for handling this.

I have created a jira for this feature, and will include the fix for 1.4. See MOBI-798. I'll let you know when the feature is available, and you can grab it out of svn or a weekly build.
ICEmobile 1.3.0 is now available for download.

  • Yes, there is no problem doing that. The ICEmobile container is a standard Android Activity. You can launch it with the standard Intent mechanism. You may want to make some changes to the container - for instance add navigation back to the other features of your application.

The container could be installed as a separate application, and launched via an intent from your application, or the ICEmobileContainer Activity could be integrated into you project as a library, and included as part of your application.
Can you explain why submitNotification does not meet your requirements? Given a better understanding, we may be able to help you in some other manner, or address your requirements in our feature roadmap.
