Hi Kelvin,

What happens when you set partialSumit="true" on the input fields?

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Gary,

This is how I got it to work on JBoss 4.0.4GA (Windows XP). It has something to do with the JSF library loading.

1. Alter the tablib reference in timezone.jsp to the following:
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/html_basic.tld" prefix="h" %>
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/jsf_core.tld" prefix="f" %>

2. Extract the tld files from JSF implementation library into the WEB-INF directory of the app (this is relative to the timezone1 directory):
../../lib/jsf-impl.jar/META-INF/html_basic.tld
../../lib/jsf-impl.jar/META-INF/jsf_core.tld

3. Rebuild the app.
4. Drop it in the JBoss deploy directory.

There might be an easier way that I'm not aware of. I tested all of the pre-built sample war files and had no problem with any of them. I also had no problem running the timezone2 app. So hope this helps.

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Maarten,

It looks like you're still trying to reference the message bundles (value="msgs['component.fileUpload.title']"...). So, if you haven't already done so, I think you have to replace all of those references with literal text. Are you receiving any other errors?

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Leonid,

Thanks for showing us this problem. We've reproduced the behaviour you're seeing, and are working on a solution in the next release. The target date from ICEFaces 1.0.1 is in about a month in the first week of July.

Thanks,
Philip
Well, the ICEfaces libraries should be brought into the Creator Library Manager when you installed the complib. I'm assuming that was successful because you see the ICEfaces components in the palette right? I would check the libraries by opening up the Library Manager in Creator. Click on Tools/Library Manager and check if you see the ICEfaces libraries in the Component Libaries section. If you don't see them, you can add them manually by clicking on 'New Library..' and browse to the lib directory of the ICEfaces community edition download. Import the icefaces-comps.jar, and icefaces.jar. This should resolve the classpath errors. The Studio Creator documentation will also provide more information on importing libraries.

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Maarten,

Sorry if I misunderstood. So, is there still a problem with your project, or has everything been resolved?

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Yoyo,

We don't have any current plans for supporting EAServer.

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Suresh,

What does the error log say?

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Peter,

Yes, you can access the your data table through the 'var' attribute. You'll see the following code in our showcase sample:

<ice:dataTable var="person" value="#{scrollerList.persons}"...

The var attribute should correspond to the name of a request-scope attribute under which the model data for the current row will be exposed.

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Kelvin,

Could you show some of the JSF markup?

Thanks,
Philip
Yes, there is a Complib_ReadMe.html file in the /tools/creator2 directory of the Community Edition download which goes over installing the complib in Creator. After the complib is installed you should see an ICEfaces section in the Creator palette.

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Graham,
We're shooting for another minor release around the end of the month. We'll keep your posted.

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Kevin,
No we haven't done any testing of ICEfaces + Shale, so we can't recommend any possible integration with Shale. But we'd love to hear about any results you might find. What Shale modules are you working with?

Thanks,
Philip
Hi Anthony,

We're considering RAD Design-time support a little further down our roadmap. For now we do have RAD ICEfaces project support for importing needed ICEfaces libraries, as well as configuring the web.xml file.

Thanks,
Philip
You can just re-download the <a href="http://www.icesoft.com/downloads/index.php">Community Edition</a>. The samples are included.

Thanks,
Philip
