The ICEfaces 4.2 release includes the powerful new ace:schedule component. The ace:schedule component displays Month, Week, and Day views of scheduled events and specific details about each of them. The event details can be displayed in a popup, on the sidebar, or on a tooltip. It also has built-in controls to add, edit, and delete events, as well as many other features.

I’m pleased to announce that the next ICEfaces release will be 4.0!

ICEfaces 4.0 will provide JSF 2.2 platform support in ICEfaces, including integration with JSF 2.2 features such as HTML5 pass-through attributes, and resetValues support. In addition to being based on JSF 2.2, we have many exciting new features and improvements planned for this release:

Resource Coalescing in ICEfaces 3.3

ICEfaces 3.3 introduces a new framework feature called Resource Coalescing. When Resource Coalescing is enabled, ICEfaces will analyze the JSF JavaScript and CSS resources declared on the initial page load and coalesce them into a single resource of each type (.js, .css).
