ICEfaces 4.0 Roadmap Update

I’m pleased to announce that the next ICEfaces release will be 4.0!

ICEfaces 4.0 will provide JSF 2.2 platform support in ICEfaces, including integration with JSF 2.2 features such as HTML5 pass-through attributes, and resetValues support. In addition to being based on JSF 2.2, we have many exciting new features and improvements planned for this release:

ICEmobile on GlassFish 4

GlassFish 4 is now available, so we were curious to try ICEmobile with it. With the right pieces in place, it works, and is just a matter of dropping your .war file in the autodeploy folder. You need:

Resource Coalescing in ICEfaces 3.3

Resource Coalescing in ICEfaces 3.3

ICEfaces 3.3 introduces a new framework feature called Resource Coalescing. When Resource Coalescing is enabled, ICEfaces will analyze the JSF JavaScript and CSS resources declared on the initial page load and coalesce them into a single resource of each type (.js, .css).

ICEmobile on the BlackBerry Z10

At last, we have obtained a BlackBerry Z10 from the good folks at Telus (thanks to Rob). Without question, this is the best BlackBerry yet.
