February, 2013 - ICEfaces EE 3.2 and ICEmobile EE 1.2 are Now Available!

ICEfaces EE 3.2 and ICEmobile EE 1.2 are now available for download. ICEfaces EE 3.2 certifies and includes all the new features and improvements introduced in the open source ICEfaces 3.1 and ICEfaces 3.2 releases, including 20 new ACE Components, 4 new core tags and new core APIs. In addition, over 150 ICEfaces EE-exclusive stabilizing fixes and improvements are provided. To get you started with mobilizing your ICEfaces applications, the ICEfaces EE 3.2 GA release bundles now include a full evaluation copy of ICEmobile EE.

May 26, 2011 - Developing ICEfaces 2 Portlets with PortletFaces Bridge

ICEfaces 2 uses the open source PortletFaces Bridge project to provide a much improved portal development experience. The PortletFaces Bridge is based in part on the JSR 329 standard, and provides advanced support for JSF 2.0 Portal applications. Using the improvements in both JSF 2 and Portlet 2, the PortletFaces Bridge now directs all Ajax requests to ICEfaces without bypassing the portlet container while maintaing a rich UI experience by avoiding full page renders.

The ICEfaces development team has been working closely with the JBoss Seam team to build a vibrant ecosystem of Ajax-based capabilities for Seam. ICEfaces 1.6.0 now offers complete integration with JBoss Seam. Included in this integration are enhancements to SeamGen that support the rapid generation of functional Seam + ICEfaces applications. The ICEfaces 1.6.0 release also contains a number of source code examples, including the ICEfaces + Seam Component Showcase that illustrates the entire ICEfaces rich component suite functioning within a Seam-based application.
