Getting Started with the ICECORE Components

Overview

The ICECORE components provide a set of commonly required utility functions. These components typically have no visual rendering on the page but provide useful behaviors.

Adding the ICECORE Components to Your Application

To configure your application to use the ICECORE components, complete the following steps:

  1. Setup the ICEfaces core framework if you have not already done so by following the steps in Getting Started, which pertain to using ICEfaces with any application.

  2. Add the ICECORE Components XML namespace to any pages you want to use ICECORE components on: 
    <html ... xmlns:icecore="http://www.icefaces.org/icefaces/core">

You are now ready to begin adding icecore: component tags to your page.
