 h4. Verifying Digital Signatures
  
 The Viewer RI no supports the viewing and validation of digital signatures. Users can use the signatures tab the utility pane to view all the signatures that are defined in the PDF document. Users can also at any time right click on a signature to view its properties.

Each root node in the signature tree has an icon states that can make it easy to get quick idea of the signatures validty:

 * !signature_valid.png! Signature is valid and the certificate chain could be validated against the users keystore.
 * !signature_caution.png! Signature is valid but the certificate chain could not be validated.
 * !signature_invalid.png! Signature is invalid or the file has been modified since it was signed.

Each annotation in a document can be viewed via the signature tree view on the signatures pane. Each node can be expanded to see more information about he signature. The root node can be right clicked to expose the context menu:
