Hi,
We have migrated our application form icefaces 1.8 to 3.1.0 according to the migration guide http://www.icesoft.org/wiki/display/ICE/Converting+ICEfaces+1.8+Applications+to+ICEfaces+3

In our application, we are loading the home page and then the main content area is loaded without refreshing the entire page.

What we noticed is that after migration, the links/button actions are not working. The action method is not getting invoked at all.

Example below was working previously and it was loading the create screen but now nothing is happening on clicking this button

Code:
<ice:commandButton value="Create"										actionListener="#{Beana.createAction}"										tabindex="27"										styleClass="form-control-button text-form-control-button" />

I looked at the various issues related to migration, but could not find the solution.

Any idea what has gone wrong while migration?

Thanks
Ashwani

Hi Ashwani,

Do you see any JavaScript errors in the browser console when this issue happens?

You may also want to try using the ICEfaces 3.3.0 release as it will have more fixes/updates compared to the 3.1.0 release.

Arran

No, Did not notice when debugging with chrome. But I will take a look at it again. I have same application running on 1.8 and I am not sure if the following has something to do.

With ICEfaces 1.8, if I look at the page source, form element is like this

Code:
<form action="javascript:;"

but with 3.10 form element is generated like this. Notice the action attribute.

Code:
<form action="/mycontext/page"
