Hi there,

It is not necessary to use f:param or f:attribute to get the edited values in the backing bean. When a row edit is submitted the values of each cell are stored in the RequestParameterMap. To get the edited values you can iterate through the rows of the table and use params.get() to look for the edited cell.

Here's an example based off the code you provided, in this example I get the edited value for the 'name' column. This example assumes that your form has an ID of 'form', and also that you have a binding set on the table with a value of "#{backingBean.table}":

Code:
     import javax.faces.context.FacesContext;
     import java.util.Map;
     import org.icefaces.ace.component.datatable.DataTable;

     private DataTable table;

     public void printAjax() {
         FacesContext fc = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
         Map<String,String> params = fc.getExternalContext().getRequestParameterMap();
         String name;

         for (int i=0; i < table.getRowCount(); i++) {
             name = params.get("form:dataTable:"+i+":name");
             if (name != null)
                 break;
         }

         System.out.println(name);
     }

Hi there,

I am able to reproduce this issue and have created a JIRA for you here: http://jira.icesoft.org/browse/ICE-9283

Thanks,
Cruz
Hi there,

The date format is a global setting and can not be changed for each individual user. However, I've updated the date format to 'dd MMM yyyy' as suggested.

The issue you are seeing is likely caused by the necessary styling not be loaded. A quick test would be to include this styling in the <h:head> section of your page like so:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./xmlhttp/css/xp/xp.css" />
or
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./xmlhttp/css/xp/royale.css" />

Some additional info on this here: http://res.icesoft.org/docs/v1_6_0/htmlguide/devguide/references7.html#1027355
