Any news for JSC 2 integration ?

Thanks
Hi Navid;

When the panelStack component is used as a dynamic content manager it can be quite powerful. It eliminates the need for page refreshes and encourages the building of modular JSF applications. I would have to argue the that the component doesn't break the MVC pattern. The panelStacks job is to display the panel specified by some model bean. This model bean can be manipulated by a controller class and the Jspx page acts as the view.

I've been working on a Webmail implementation which builds on an idea presented by Oracle, http://www.oracle.com/technology/pub/articles/cioroianu_jsfdb.html . They mention the idea of having a base model class that can be extended by a view class which can allow for good incapacitation in a JSF application.

Hi Patrick.

You are right the panel stack dose not entirely break the MVC. However you cannot continue to use the default Faces Servlet (controller) and navigation handler with ICEFaces(or most ajax implementations). This makes sense since the entire page is not being reloaded. However this does require you to implement your own form of a controller.

Thanks for the link to the Oracle artical it was very informative and looks like a really good way to seperate the model from the view.

Would you have any suggestions about implementing a control archetecture that would work well with a single page design.

Thanks
Navid

I need to get a doctype definition in the first line of my .jspx site.

< !DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
(just as an example)

Every way I tried, I either get an exception or the line appears after the <html> tag!?

That's how the regular site is starting now:
< f:view
xmlns:h="http://java.sun.com/jsf/html"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"
xmlns:ice="http://www.icesoft.com/icefaces/component" >

<html>
....

Please help me with that one, thanks!!
Alex
1-When wil you provide integration for JSC 2 ?
It is highly on demand , because many people use it.
could you provide a estimation about date ?

2-is version 0.3 alfa , free for use ?

3-will JSC integration be free for use ?

Thank you for your answers
I try with two simple page. One first page I have inputText and on other outputText that prints first page inputText. If I enter any utf-8 codes (č,ć,ž,đ,š) in first page I get empty string on the other page. Jspx page encoding is utf-8.
Also I have notice this in yout examples.
How to get charset utf-8?
